The Canadian Children’s Opera Company (CCOC) invites you to celebrate the season with Song for a Winter’s Day & Night, taking place on Saturday, November 28, 2026, at the Jane Mallett Theatre in Toronto.
Inspired by Susan Cooper’s beloved poem The Shortest Day, this year’s Winter Concert explores the beauty and wonder of midwinter through music and storytelling. From the stillness of winter nights to the warmth of gathering together, the concert celebrates the changing seasons and the return of light.
Featuring the talented young voices of the CCOC, the concert brings together a beautiful selection of choral works, including the world premiere of Soir d’hiver by Canadian composer Stéphane Mayer, and the return of a cherished CCOC tradition, Song for a Winter’s Night, arranged by Chris and Charissa Bagan.
