Apprentice Chorus

The Apprentice Chorus (AC) builds on foundational skills, with a continued focus on healthy vocal production through unison singing, and the development of musicianship and dramatic technique. Choristers are introduced to fundamental musical rudiments and begin to strengthen their music literacy.

The drama curriculum encourages each participant to explore their unique voice, emphasizing expressive gesture, meaningful connection to text, and the creation of character through both physical and vocal choices.

Apprentice Chorus members participate each season in the all-choir Winter Concert and perform in both the junior division opera and the mainstage opera chorus. When ready, choristers advance to the Intermediate Chorus.
