Ruby Chorus

The Ruby Chorus (RC) is a vibrant and dynamic program that engages young singers in the joy of opera and the art of storytelling through music. Singers are introduced to vocal production, musicianship skills, the dramatic arts, opera concepts and terms, and artistry in a fun and encouraging environment.

RC Choristers learn simple folk songs and melodies sung in unison, developing their own vocal abilities and applying them in an ensemble setting. Collaboration, creativity, and confidence are key skills woven throughout the program.

The Ruby Chorus participates each season in a fall all-choir concert, and they are also involved in the junior division staged opera experience. When choristers are ready, they graduate to the Apprentice Chorus.

RC choristers are typically ages 6 – 7.
