Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts
145 Queen Street West, Toronto
The event is free and will take place in the Education Space immediately behind the Four Seasons Centre Box Office located on the SE corner of Queen St. West and University Avenue. To those unfamiliar with the space or who are travelling from outside of Toronto, the Four Seasons Centre is located conveniently on two TTC lines: at Osgoode station on the University/Spadina subway line, and the Osgoode Hall stop on the 501 streetcar route. Parking is available underneath the Four Seasons Centre located off of York Street near Queen Street West. https://goo.gl/maps/5B97Ne4WTEq
I am delighted to announce that we will be joined by Sue Elliott, former Director of Education at Seattle Opera (who is currently directing The Royal Conservatory of Music’s new Teacher Certification and Network programs), and Stephen Colella, Associate Artistic Director & Dramaturg at Young People’s Theatre, who will share their experiences, best practices, and considerations in developing works created for and/or by children. The goal of the event is to build a network of producers, creators, performers, and educators interested in this line of work, begin to understand the best practices in creating meaningful operas for and/or by children, and to raise the profile of the work that we do.
Please RSVP by Monday, June 6 at 10 a.m. to email@example.com.
