The Canadian Children's Opera Company presents professionally staged and produced operas performed by our very talented choristers. Our 2011-2012 season will feature our exciting newly commissioned opera Laura’s Cow: The Legend of Laura Secord, June 7-10, 2012 at Harbourfront Centre Toronto.
Presenting full-scale productions is very costly. Approximately 51% of our funding comes from tuition and government grants. The remaining 49% comes from a combination of foundation and corporate support, fundraising events, individual donations, performance fees and ticket revenue.
The CCOC is proud to announce the formation of the Ann Cooper Gay Production Fund, in honour of Ann’s 10th season as Executive Artistic Director of the Canadian Children’s Opera Company. For more information, click here.
Your support is critical for the CCOC to provide the highest standard of music and dramatic instruction for our choristers and to give these young singers a wealth of performance opportunities, often with Toronto’s finest performing arts companies.
Be part of the magic! Donate to the CCOC. We appreciate your support.

GIFTS OF SECURITIES
In 2006, the Federal Government eliminated the capital gains tax on gifts of publicly traded securities, both Canadian and foreign, to registered charities. This provision offers donors an opportunity to realize significant tax savings in making a gift of securities. With a gift of securities, you eliminate any taxable capital gain and receive a charitable tax receipt for the fair market value of the securities. This value is the closing price of all securities on the date the gift is received.
MONTHLY DONATION
Monthly donations help ensure our company has an ongoing, stable source of income and allows us to plan in advance for upcoming productions or concert opportunities.
Your payment will be deducted on the 1st or the 15th of every month and a tax receipt for the entire donation issued in January for the prior year’s contributions.
ESTATE PLANNING
Making a bequest gift or legacy to the CCOC in your will, can have a significant impact to changing children’s lives by introducing them to the magic of opera as well as maximizing your personal tax benefits.
